Dominican has responded to the needs of the disabled by providing a full service of rehabilitation services, and partnering with local agencies and Cabrillo College. It is very rewarding when a potentially devastating event like a stroke is treated at our JCAHO certified stroke center; receives top-flight in-house rehab, and months later is enjoying a good quality of life, living in the community and participating at the Cabrillo Stroke Center.
We have assembled a great team of therapists in the hospital, rehab center, Home Health and outpatient services: we provide our community with the team they need here (in full accessible facilities) or at their home. We have access to specialty care and clinics to meet all the needs of the disabled population we serve.Dominican is big enough to provide the full spectrum of primary and secondary care, but still friendly and personal. The medical community (even across practices) is open, helpful, and engaged in providing the highest quality care to Santa Cruz.
