Lipid Panel

A lipid panel is a blood test that measures lipids-fats and fatty substances used as a source of energy by your body. Lipids include cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL).

Follow your normal diet. Don't consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to sampling. Fast for at least 9 to 12 hours. It's OK to drink water during the fast, but avoid coffee, tea, soda and other like beverages which could affect the test results.
