With state-of-the-art all digital cardiovascular X-ray imaging in its two catheterization labs, and dedicated suites for surgery, angiography and vascular ultrasound and other imaging modalities, Dominican Hospital provides a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

"Open heart" surgery, such as a graft to bypass the blocked blood vessels or replacement of a heart valve, has been available at Dominican since 1989. Interventional cardiac cath procedures include angioplasty and atherectomy and stent placement.

Dominican has reserved specialized nursing programs for heart care, encompassing ruling out heart-attack, bypass surgery recovery, chest pain, cardiac cath recovery, medical cardiology, cardiac surgery recovery and pacemaker implantation, among others.
