Welcome to our family centered Mother-Baby/Postpartum Unit
At Dominican Hospital, we are happy to offer our families a chance to transfer to a room where they can be comfortable and cozy after delivery. Our Postpartum rooms have been designed with double beds, a table with chairs, and couches to encourage comfortable "rooming in" with your infant, so your baby can stay in your room to facilitate bonding. The same nurse will care for both mother and baby.
Each room has a private bathroom, TV/DVD player, and a personal refrigerator. We offer room service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and an individualized celebration meal. We have special rooms for our Caesarean birth families with a comfortable hospital bed and a fold-out couch for a companion to spend the night.
We strive for excellence in postpartum teaching and preparation, so families are discharged with all the education, knowledge and confidence they need. We also provide digital baby photos and can get you started with your baby’s first Web site!
