Dominican Hospital provides a safety net for you and your newborn so that you can relax and enjoy your birth experience in confidence. We are proud of our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursery, and that our experienced staff is trained by Stanford University Hospital. We have three neonatologists and a perinatalogist on our medical staff and available around-the-clock for consultation and to attend high-risk delivery situations. We also have a clinical nurse specialist in the NICU.
At Dominican we are always striving to improve. For example, we put our staff through emergency drills on a regular basis. Labor and Delivery staff is specially trained in neonatal resuscitation and advanced cardiac life support. Our skilled respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and other emergency staff are available whenever needed. We also have a Rapid Response Team from the Critical Care area to provide immediate response, if a need arises.
Dominican has installed the latest technology in infant security systems. We are committed to the safest possible birth experience for you and your family.
